30 Days of Cocktails and Mocktails, Day 13: Pink Martinis

This is a recipe from Pampered Chef:


  • 1 cup (250 mL) ice cubes  

  • 1/2 oz (15 mL) grenadine  

  • 4 oz (120 mL) Southern Comfort® (70 proof)  

  • 2 oz (60 mL) light rum  

  • 3 oz (90 mL) pineapple juice  

  • 2 oz (60 mL) sweet & sour mix  


  1. Place ice in a shaker. Measure remaining ingredients into shaker, starting with grenadine.

  2. Put lid on shaker and shake 10-15 times or until desired drinking temperature is reached.

  3. Remove cap from shaker; pour into glasses.

30 Days of Cocktails and Mocktails, Day 12: Cherry Berry Vodka Lemonade


  • 2 ounces cherry vodka

  • ½ ounce fresh lime juice

  • 3 ounces pink lemonade

  • 3 ounces strawberry puree

  • Sugar, optional

  • Ice cubes

  • Additional lemon and lime slices, for garnishment


  1. Combine first four ingredients in a shaker.

  2. Add additional sugar to taste.

  3. Fill mason glass with ice and additional lemon and lime slices if desired.

  4. Pour lemonade over ice and serve.

30 Days of Cocktails and Mocktails, Day 11: Peach Punch


  • 2 liter of 7UP or Sprite, chilled

  • 1 large can pineapple juice (46 oz.), chilled

  • 2 qt. bottle White Grape Peach juice (64 oz.), chilled

  • Optional: 1 additional can pineapple juice to freeze for an ice mold or into ice cubes

Combine the soda, pineapple juice and peach juice in a large punch bowl and stir gently to combine. If using, add the prepared ice ring or ice cubes.

30 Days of Cocktails and Mocktails, Day 10: After Midnight Cocktail


  • 1 oz chocolate-flavored vodka

  • 1 oz vanilla-flavored vodka

  • 1/2 oz coffee-flavored liqueur

  • Ice

  • Chocolate-covered espresso beans, for garnish

  • Chocolate shavings, for garnish


  1. Chill 2 martini glasses.

  2. In a large martini shaker, add the chocolate vodka, vanilla vodka, coffee liqueur and fill with ice.

  3. Shake the cocktail well for 30 seconds.

  4. Pour the cocktail into the glasses and garnish with espresso beans and shaved chocolate.

30 Days of Cocktails and Mocktails, Day 9: Peppermint Patty Cocktail

I had a friend make something similar to this one day. We only had to teach for half a day and we spent the rest of the day in her hot tub with snacks and cocktails.


  • 1 shot White Godiva liqueur

  • 1 shot White Crème de Menthe

  • 1/2 shot Green Crème de Menthe

  • Chocolate syrup, for drizzling


  1. Combine White Godiva Liqueur and White Crème de Menthe.

  2. Shake.

  3. Float 1/2 shot Green Crème de Menthe and drizzle chocolate syrup on top.

  4. Indulge!

30 Days of Cocktails and Mocktails, Day 8: Rum Punch with Ginger Beer & Pineapple Juice

There are a couple of keywords that will make me want to make something or order something. Ganache is one of those words - ginger is another.


  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice

  • 1 cup ginger beer

  • 1 1/2 cups Jamaican dark rum

  • 2 cups pineapple juice

  • Ice


  1. In a pitcher, combine lime juice, ginger beer, rum and pineapple juice.

  2. Stir well to combine.

  3. Fill glasses with ice and pour in the punch.

If you prefer to make the punch in advance, mix together all of the ingredients except the ginger beer. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Stir in the ginger beer immediately before serving.

30 Days of Cocktails and Mocktails, Day 7: Autumn Spice Cocktail

I must have bought a bottle of Frangelico for something but I sure don't know what! This seems like a good use for it.


  • 4 ounces IFrench Vanilla coffee creamer

  • 2 ounces whipped cream vodka

  • 2 ounces Frangelico Hazelnut Liqueur

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

  • 1/8 teaspoon clove

  • ice


  1. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add ingredients.

  2. Shake vigorously to combine.

  3. Pour into 2 cocktail glasses serve immediately and enjoy!

30 Days of Cocktails and Mocktails, Day 6: Cinnamon Toast Cocktail

I think this would be wonderful if it was served warm in tea or punch cups.


  • 12 ounces Apple Cider, warmed

  • 3 ounces Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum

  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 1 cinnamon stick, to garnish


  1. Combine the cinnamon and sugar on a plate that the rim of your glass will fit on.

  2. Wet the rim of your glass with the cider or rum.

  3. Spin the rim of your glass in the cinnamon sugar.

  4. Combine the cider and rum in your glass, garnish with cinnamon stick.

  5. Enjoy!

30 Days of Cocktails and Mocktails, Day 4: Cran-Strawberry Slushy

We make blender drinks all year long, not just in the summer. The color of this would be perfect for the holidays.


  • 1 bag (16 oz) frozen strawberries, thawed

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 6 cups cranberry juice cocktail

  • 6 cups lemon-lime soda

  • 1 cup vodka (optional)


  1. Combine strawberries and sugar in food processor and blend until smooth: pour into pitcher.

  2. Add cranberry juice cocktail and vodka.

  3. Just before serving add lemon-lime soda.
