Crockpot Bacon Cheeseburger Soup

I found this recipe on Pinterest and have made it several times since then. I am posting the original recipe but my adaptations are listed below that.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 container of Philadelphia Cooking Crème- Original Flavor
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 1 bag frozen hashbrowns
  • 8 oz Velveeta cheese
  • 32 oz chicken broth stock
  • small onion diced
  1. Cook up the hamburger and the bacon. Add to Crockpot.
  2. Add the frozen potatoes, diced onion, cooking crème, Velveeta, and chicken stock.
  3. Cook on high for 3 to 4 hours, stirring occasionally. This can also be cooked on low.
  • I didn't add any onion.
  • I would recommend either cutting the amount of potatoes in half or doubling the meat. My family thought it was too potatoey.
  • If there are leftovers, the potatoes seem to soak up the broth. To reheat it, I made another batch of the broth.
  • I am sure that I put more than 6 slices of bacon in it. We really like bacon :)
